Visual Arts for the Classroom
(VACS)

During my BA Joint Honours in Fine Art & Education at the National College of Art & Design, I engaged in Visual Arts for the Classroom (VACS) modules, which focused on developing creative, curriculum-based projects for use in primary and post-primary settings. These projects explored a range of disciplines, including painting, sculpture, graphic design, and mixed media, with an emphasis on accessible materials and adaptable teaching approaches. VACS supported my ability to translate studio practice into meaningful classroom activities, encouraging creativity, experimentation, and inclusive participation across diverse learning environments.
