BA2 School Placement at Trinity Comprehensive School

As part of my BA Joint Honours in Fine Art & Education at the National College of Art & Design, I completed a post primary teaching placement at Trinity Comprehensive School. This placement provided valuable experience in planning and delivering visual art lessons aligned with the Junior and Senior Cycle curriculum, supporting students across a range of abilities and year groups.

Throughout the placement, I engaged in team teaching, which strengthened my communication skills and highlighted the importance of collaborative planning within the classroom. Working closely with experienced teachers allowed me to develop confidence, adaptability, and a reflective approach to lesson delivery. The placement further enhanced my ability to foster an inclusive and respectful learning environment while encouraging student engagement, creativity, and critical thinking.
